Scorpio New Moon 11/18–Everyday Magic

  • by

Out of all signs, Scorpio tends to be the most feared. Perhaps, this is because Scorpio terrain tends to be the shadowy and most vulnerable parts of us. We tend to fear what we cannot readily see or control (those things that go bump in the midnight of our own psyche and soul). Though this fear is understandable, it does not adequately articulate the whole meaning of the sign. Scorpio also holds immense power bordering on magic itself. The sorcerers, shaman, and depth psychologists of the zodiac, Scorpio offers the potential to create, heal and transform in awe-inspiring ways.

It is the phoenix rising triumphantly from the ashes.
It is the butterfly emerging from the cocoon.
It is the alchemist turning lead to gold.
It is the magic all around us.

Scorpio represents the epic times in our lives when we reawaken to our innate power.

Of course, change by definition often evokes fear

until it doesn’t.

On a Scorpio journey, the practice is to lean into the mystery of change, harnessing the power it holds, all the while challenging our fear stories of limitation. Trust, truth, and the divinity of our being becomes our friend.

Scorpio rules the fall, the time when the light is fading and leaves are dying, reminding us of our mortality. This is not to scare us into complacency but inspire us to live more fully.

It is to remind us change is a necessary and often beneficial part of life. Leaves die and fall, and then they are again reborn brighter than ever.

It reminds us the darkest night and the most bitter of winter is always followed by the return of light.

It reminds us we too hold this power of recreation within us. We create a million times a day with every thought we send out, with every incantation of belief, and with every spell of a story. With this power comes great responsibility because we have a choice.

To create from habit or change, security or vulnerability, complacency or inspiration.

Everyday magic echoing our own power. We too can shed our skins, releasing what is no longer needed or working, allowing parts of ourselves to die off, so we can live more powerfully whole.

What needs release?

What holds you back from releasing your true power of manifesting abundance or authenticity?

What truths are dying to be born within you?

Where are you being called to be the alchemist of your own transformation?

Your life is revealing the answers to those questions. There are signs all around you.

This New Moon is your call to believe in magic

to feel it- to see it – to harness it.

Maybe for the first time.

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
― Roald Dahl
